Some weeks ago I joined the gym my wife is going. She told me that improving a little bit my swimming skills would not harm.
The gym is very open to gender diversity, nevertheless it has strict rules. There are 3 groupal dressing rooms, one for genetic males, one genetic females and another smaller, but big enough for "other situations", there are also 4 individual small cabins available to everybody to undress and dress. Cis males and females are encouraged to use groupal ones to avoid queues, but there is not a hard must.
There is also an strict swiming dressing code for men and women with traditional styles, for "others" it is flexible with the only restriction "1 piece"
I asked my wife and she was clear:" you are a man, you must follow the requirements for men, use the men's area" She explained this is a private club we need to stick to internal rules.
When I entered one of the staff, a young lady invited me not to use the male groupal area, I told her I was a man and I intended to use it, her face was a mix of "surprise" and "your choice", and believe me, I woke up her curiosity.
When I went out of the men's area with my yellow bikini bottom, and and big breasts with their tan lines bouncing(Yes, I like to show off) her eyes were open-wide with surprise. I asked if I was committing an offense against the dress code, she looked at me, specially my little but noticeable bulge and said... "well..,no". She was curious and he had a 10 minutes conversation before I entered the swimming pool.
When I left the facilities she came to say goodbye and told me I was a brave man and
invited me to come earlier next day for a chat and a coffee in the vending.
By the way a couple of men sought me naked on the dressing area, some surprise expressions on their faces when they sought me naked but not a single comment or incident.
Society is starting to accept as normal. Good!
