I don't understand why, but I find wearing a bra somewhat comforting.

I agree that a properly fitting bra is comforting as well as comfortable.  Since it is mostly a woman only garment, it makes me feel more feminine.  I guess that some of the ladies from the "burn the bra movement weren't fitted correctly!"
